1st new tax disc & MOT!!??

its been on here many times but can't remember the answer and now its my turn!!

Got my first tax reminder through and it requests an MOT...........

Car is on Q plate, date of first registration is 15/05/2007..............

do I need an MOT or not???

ok, answered my own query I think, I appear to be able to retax it online and the MOT check comes up as "ok" so guess although the paper form says I need an MOT certificate I actually don't............

isn't DVLA great!!

You dont need MOT. Swansea has set your V5 up wrong. Same happened to me albeit mine is age related plate). I contacted local office and they sorted it for me.

This happened to me on my first tax renewal, taxed on line no problem.Next renewal same thing but would not let me renew on line saying MoT was required Had to download a declaration from the the DVLA web site confirming the car was less than 3 years old and then had to tax in local post office.
