Might be wrong but, 21 psi when hot for both is what I use and seems perfect

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Just been in the tyre shop to get the tracking done and they've said that we had 15psi in them which seems very low, so they pushed them up to 29psi (on recommendation)..

I think that seems a little steep.. ?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

15 psi cold will be more like 18 hot. 29 is too high.

My car weighs 523kg and I run 16psi from cold for road use. Not enough track experience to say what track pressures should be.

29psi is ok for a 1500kg+ tin top, but way too high for cars as light as ours!

No such thing as ideal - only ideal for your specific car and tyres.

Start with 18PSI cold and adjust accordingly.

If your tyres have soft sidewalls, you might want to add a couple of PSI. If they are very stiff you might want to remove a couple instead.

Ignore what the tyre shop tell you - they just bang in 30psi without understanding what that really 30psi does. It's just an accepted ballpark figure for a road car - but not for a kit car
