Im having problems putting version 3.3.0 Firmware onto my MJLJ V3.

I have downloaded the controller firmware, version 3.3.0 under BETA Released Versions on this page.

I have then being following the instructions lower down on this page.

I have being putting in

hc08sprg.exe COM1 mjlJunior_V3.3.0.s19

All that happens is a box apears and states that, hc08sprg.exe is not a valid win 32 application.

I hope somebody unerstands all this, I are tottaly stumped, Can any body please help?

That message generally means the executable has been corrupted. I've just downloaded it an and it executes ok, so I recommend you download it again and retry as a first step.

Had something similar when setting up the megajolt. Are you using a USB to Serial cable? I was as laptop did not have a serial port. Tried various things, new cable, changed chip etc. no joy. So dug out old PC with serial connector. Connected up with serial to serial cable, downloaded first time.

You can power up the megjolt with 9v battery at your desk and download this way. Does not need to be in the car. Also once loaded you can revert back to the USB to serial cable and use laptop to communicate with megajolt it was only when you were trying to download the new version.

I have re-tryed downloading it and it still dont work. I are allready using the PC with serial connector.
