Hi - If all goes well I will be calibrating my Koso digi dash this weekend. Like most people I plan to attach the magnet to the prop flange.
So....
When I come to programe the info in, do I need to account for the fact that the sensor point is on the input to the diff and not the ouput? Ie the out
put (wheels) rotate faster than the input?
Mine is a 3.62 lsd.
Maybe it will all come clear when I actually do it, but hoped some previous experience would help me get there a bit quicker!!
Thanks in advance
Matt
I assume that, like the Acewell the Koso calibrates from tyre circumference? If so then should be a simple matter of dividing by the diff ratio to arrive at the correct figure (the prop is rotating at 3.62 x the speed of the half shafts)
Like any data input, it is best to use tyre circumference and diff ratio figures only as a starting point. IMO final calibration is best done with a satnav on the road - surprisingly accurate.
cool - makes sense. thanks alot
