LOL at the second one, he's blatantly using the low seating position to look up 'er skirt!!

GRRR - 16/3/10 at 08:21 PM

Awesome!!! Is that a BDA in the back?

I fancy the thought of designing a single seater, road legal, but you can't imagine many people getting permission from the missus to build a car she can't get in (at least they have the option on a 7!)

balidey - 16/3/10 at 08:22 PM

there's not much skirt to look up.
And that car may have been road legal then, but may require a bot of a tweak for IVA. Although it does give a good indication of what C**** G**** new single seater will look like

Litemoth - 16/3/10 at 08:32 PM

Cracking pair of pins though.

What are the cars in the background in the first picture do you recon? A Cortina or Avenger estate is that?

adithorp - 16/3/10 at 08:43 PM

Avenger est I'd say with a Renault12 but can't see the middle one.

CraigJ - 16/3/10 at 08:47 PM

I think you're bang on....middle one could be a Rover P6 maybe

iank - 16/3/10 at 08:53 PM

Don't think much to the design of his weather gear.

I agree with those. My thought on the middle one is Rover P6?

Also, is that Barry Gibb driving?

OK then...tooo easy.
What about the twin headlamped car just showing in the first pic and the one on the end of his umbrella in the second photo....(looks a bit like a 205 but way too early) no prizes for the Cortina or the Princess

hicost blade - 16/3/10 at 09:09 PM

I like pop out headlights on this puppy........in the background is a transporter and some french bread wagon.......

hicost blade - 16/3/10 at 09:31 PM

Can you smell something?

Dangle_kt - 16/3/10 at 09:32 PM

"Your a BLOKE!"

adithorp - 16/3/10 at 09:32 PM

Don't think those are twin headlights. I think its a Marina; the one with a rectangular painted panel in the grill. Middle car could well be a P6 Rover

Second pic... P6, Simca Horizon (not an Allegro) and Cortina3

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Talbot_Horizon_profile_Chamartin.jpg

adrian

PS. I learn't to drive in a Renault12 and an Avenger estate... amongst others.

Litemoth - 16/3/10 at 09:34 PM

I think the twin headlight thing may have been a Datsun. In the second pic, the windscreen is too swept back to be a P6 (I thought Austin Princess at first but not so sure now) and I think the second car may have been a Fiat (Strada maybe?) but it's too curvy to be a Horizon i think?

russbost - 16/3/10 at 10:11 PM

Deffo twin headlights it's a Cortina mk3 2.0 GXL! Agree with the P6 & Renault & the other Cortina, but don't think that's an Horizon, looks like an Allegro to me.

Now I may be slightly biased, but at least there's room for a passenger in this one!

Renault 14 is one of the mystery cars, but it is a very distracting picture to look at

Nash - 18/3/10 at 09:07 PM

I still stand by it being an Allegro and not a Talbot Horizon.

Mind you both equally as bad as cars go!!

and worse then that I learned to drive in a Talbot Samba

That's a Xanthos Grand Prix, would need to be imported from the states.
