Hi people
I have built my nissan ca turbo engined haynes roadster for track use . Have other people used there roadsters on track and how does it do? I find the
suspension is way too soft and it rolls alot , what are your expériences please?
thanks
mike
I heard that Andy of Saturn had uprated his rear springs from the book from 200 per spring to 250 to help stop a bit of roll.. When I had a go at
Blyton I kept going progressively harder on the dampers under order from the instructor, to the stage when I took it back on the road it was hard as
hell when I hit any bumps.
I would suggest that if really for track only look at anti roll bars front and rear or torsion bars what ever they are called.
Dampers I believe will not really help on roll so think the bars would help the most.
Please bear in mind I am not a track expert so could be talking bull.
Are you close to any race companies you could try like procom etc.
Adrian
thanks for the reply, ive been looking into anti roll bars , its purely for track so i dont need it to work on the road, i was also thinking of
changing the springs but not sure what to start with. I would take it in to get it sorted by a specialist but im out in France!

I would copy the spring rates that are MK track cars for now. When you get back get yourself to procomp. Amazing value for money.
Personally I look at the locost and RGB racers for inspiration. I don't think any of them are using anti roll bars with a marked success. I would
suggest springs and shocks need dialing in.
I'd say stiffer springs not anti roll bars too. Anti roll bars allow you to use softer springs for a better ride on the road while still controlling roll in the bends. Better to get the balance / roll right with the spring rates IMHO.
I will take alook at springs then first. whats best do you guys think,go up in 50lbs at a time or should i go for more?
The moment i go into a corner it starts to roll and completey breaks traction, not very fun!!
Cheers
Mike
Save your money buying loads of pairs of springs and go see a professional like procomp. It will be far cheaper in the long run.
I would take it to someone to get it sorted but i live out in France now so abit far !
cheers mike
Even if you just call Procomp, they will certainly put you in the right direction.
