Bonjour mes amis,
This might be a dream I had but didn't someone once post a link to a place that did a compact car lifting device?
it had four rectangles to hold the wheels and worked on a scissor action with, I think a bottle jack to raise it. It lifted the car to about three
feet.
I could do with something like it to save the old bad back.
I've had a search and I can't find it, anyone remember it?

I can remember posting details about one that used a highlift ratchet jack. Advert had a couple outside with Landrovers on. There was also another
that was fixed height at the front but had a crossbar at the back that a std hydraulic jack could fit under, once up to height a couple of legs came
down to support weight. Cant fo rthe life of me remember the link.
Ill have a look.

Hello again, just spoken to Brian at Hamer car lifters. He tells me he is going down to the next BEAULIEU CAR SHOW, so can also see him there.
Got no more info about the show. Just that some car magazine is going to strip a modded car down on his lifter and the parts can be won or something?

Chris if you have a compressor and want too build the said lift i can supply all the cylinders valves etc you need at very good "mates rates"
yeah, but thats just so he can get in car
Try Rorty's web site. He has a manual lift for one end (or side) of the car. I do not think it lifts more than 12 inches though.

Build a big seesaw (teeter totter to the Americans) and wedge it in place when it rocks over.

chrisg, if this is what you're after, and you can find someone to put it together, you're more than welcome to have a set of the Quick Lift Jack Plans. It will lift from 65mm high (fully closed) to 305mm, though the dimensions can be altered to suit just about any height within reason.
