Vauxhall fuel filter?
mackie - 24/1/04 at 10:24 AM

I'm looking at fuel filters with simple push-n-clip fittings and I suspect that the vauxhall one in this auction:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2455980379&category=10404&rd=1

is just that.
Can anyone confirm that they do indeed have simple pipes over which the hose pushed to be then secured by clips? If so what's the diameter of the pipes?
Someone suggested before that vauxhall fuel system parts are easy to work with so I thought it was worth seeing.

Cheers,

Mackie.

I used a Omega post pump filter, and yes it comes with nice easy 8mm push on ends. Fine as a post pump injection filter, you will also need a pre pump filter if using an out of tank injection pump. I used one of those after market "bullet" ones you can clean out, they come with different inlet/outlet options but cost about £45.

Ouch, £45 is lots. Is their any reason why i couldn't just use another vectra filter before the pump?

Most cars now use a in tank pump. Was advised these were the best way to go for ease of fit and the ability to clean out, probably full of bits of plastic from the tank, also give a very good flow rate to the pump. I'm sure there are others out there which are just as good.
