Currently have a set of 38mm CVK carbs on a Bogg Bros manifold.
Is there any advantage in replacing them with a pair of 45 DCOE's?

You know the answer Pete.. bike carbs have the edge over webers...
How about just going bigger bike carbs??
Next step up for me would be FI with big bike bodies.
But if your thinking of selling the manifold...
Steve
Guess so Steve, I can't say why, but I'm just not happy with the setup.
I've sorted the rough idle, it'll tick over at 500, rattles the clutch but it will, alls quiet at 900rpm on, about a 25rpm flicker on the
PC rev counter at idle.
Throttle response is immediate, but there's still a nagging doubt.
Nagging doubt? I had webers on a Fiat twink and they were a nightmare.
Bogg Brothers set my carbs up and they are superb. Very smooth and a nice increase in mpg. Mine will tick over down at 500 and like yours is happier
at 900.
I've just changed the ign map for a blacktop one and find it revs a lot happier and feels more eager.
Yes you're right, I think I'll leave things alone and get it to Boggs early summer for a proper setup.
Its so close its not worth tearing it apart....
Bike carbs every time
