You will never attach bike carbs to a type 9 box, its just not possible

fountain of knowledge indeed, so lets try and answer his question

errr, i don't know the answer, but loads of other folk on here have done just that.
as i understand, any bike engine over about 600cc should be a good source for carbs. mine for my 2.0 vauxhall are from a zx9r. need a little modifying, drilling of main jets, and an inlet manifolld needs to be made. look up shortrack123 on here. he laser cuts manifold plates and sells on ebay. weld a few suitable diameter tubes at strategic places and angles, and connect with rubber tube. jobs a good 'un.
have a look on Jacko's photo archive on here. he'll be happy to answer questions on it.
gearbox, again easily done. i'm not sure which bell housings fit, but anyone with a zetec on here's done it

good luck

what car are you fitting all this lot in?

cd.thomson - 5/1/09 at 11:36 AM

Hi mate, currently waiting on parts list/quotes from SBD, Burton Power and Raceline for converting both Zetecs and Duratecs to RWD applications in a sevenesque car.

I intend on posting in a separate thread so people can bookmark it if necessary, but I will post the link here when its compiled.

Not a kit but a classic Triumph!
The 1.3 currently in place is a good motor putting out around 95bhp but I need a bit more power.
I have a ford Type 9 fitted and Megajolt ect. So a 2.0ltr Zetec seems the way to go Rescued attachment carcompresses.JPG
