Weber servicing

Hi all

I'm currently servicing my Weber 45s (gaskets etc). Is there anything I need to worry about when taking Webers apart and putting them back together? What's worth looking at inspection wise while they are apart?

many thanks

Just worry about the bits left over once they are back together

Big thing is to make sure all the drillings and passeges are clear. Once in bits squirt lots of carb cleaner in followed by a good blast out with an airline. Dont be tempted to start poking things through the holes, if you scratch or distort the passageways you can use cocktail sticks if really necessary but a good soak in carb cleaner gets rid of most crud.

While you are in there make sure all the body drillings are identical on both. As the numbers are on the lids there is no guarantee the bodies belong to the tops!

Check this link for Dave Andrews excellent article on webers
