X20XEV spark plug leads?
blakep82 - 7/3/09 at 07:38 PM

where can i get some longer leads for my x20xev vuaxhall ecotoec? i'm using a ford coil pack, and while the standard ones fit the coil pack, they're not quite long enough (i need to move the coil pack to the bulk head, rather than the usual bracket on the engine)

i coild move the plug leads along 1 (cylinder 1 to cyl2, 2-3, and 3-4 etc, but i need a longer one for cylinder one

any ideas? or any other vauxhalls (red top perhaps?) have longer leads?

On a Frontera the coil pack is mounted on the block (bastard to get do) - leads must be a good 100-150mm longer. Will that do?

that should do nicely! where on the block is the coil? on my engine it was on the back of the block too, well, more on the cylinder head actually. it was part of the water temp sensor thingy

Inlet side, about half way down the block close to the bellhousing..

BTW, I have an X20XEV Omega so know for definate that the leads are longer - they're a bit short with the coil pack on the back of the head!
