I`ve installed a 4age from a Mk1 MR2. It`s running on twin weber 40`s, Bestek ignition system & megaspark coil. Current tickover is about 1050rpm at 14 degrees BTDC.
The mixture screws on the carbs are all out about 2 1/2 turns too. It runs but when you rev it, its very spluttery so needs tweaking some more. The carbs are balanced with each other ok too. I`m curious as to what settings others are using?
