Any ideas on what size tube I need to make a 4 branch manifold?. The exhaust ports are about 28mm dia and i was thinking of using 32mm od x 1.5 wall
tube. What sort of length do the primarys need to be?.I will sand bend the tubes and converge into a 2inch collector.
Paul.
Will be picking up a lol***st manifold next week.
will let you know what length the primarys are. (It's a four into one system)

The stainless steel exhaust manifold lolo sells for £90 sounds a cracking deal.
BEWARE though because steveM has a book version chassis, measured up and it wont fit.
They may have altered since then, best to measure up first.
Pipe ends up at pedal box or somewhere round there.
the pipe conflicting with the pedal box is a problem for the pinto runners, if my X-flow exhaust hits the pedal box i think i may have messed up.
Thanks that will be a great help,i am going to make one for the fun of it and to gain experience before making one for a bike engine.

i remember reading somewhere that as long as its not smaller than 80% of the valve diameter for race and 75% for road.
the smaller 1 gives more bac pressure which improves low end torque but less revs. i think??????????
The gits the one week i take off, is the one week that lolocost goes on holiday, will put up dimentions when i get the manifold. Scutter.

But it wouldn't have been as fast as a locost.
keep us posted about this manifold mate!
I was looking at the same one - it sure is shiny in all the pictures!
Been put off by bad reports on this site, and I'd be interested to know if they've fixed the problems.
Still nowhere near needing it, but it'd look nice in the garage...

ive got a mk1 escy wit a 4 branch away in me garage give me a few days to uncover it and i measure the bores for u
I ve fitted the lolo manifold to my x flow the primarys are 960mm and their 38 mm od 1.2mm thick, started the engine the weekend for the first time and it sounds sweet.

No worries then, they must have changed the manifold in the last 18 months.
It was rory of the lolo shop that told me it wouldnt fit, will see him at donington anyway to ask.
No worries,
Will hopefully catch up with you all there.
I shall consider my fears allayed.
Thanks for the info guys - a nice shiny manifold will soon be winging it's way to my expectant garage.
