As my RR session was abandoned and my ecu has gone back to Phil for inspection, I thought for fun I'd ask to see some plots from everybody elses
sessions.
Firstly - I've done a search and can't see anything like this before, and secondly, before anybody says so BHP figures shouldn't be
compared across different RRs
So - please can people who have them post their RR plots including engine info: Type, Induction, Igntition & Cam.
Thanks all.
Greg
OK I'll start.
Toyota 4AGE Silvertop 20V.
Flowed head (mostly exhaust as 3 inlets flow plenty).
CAT exhaust cam only again to promote exhaust flow. Only adds 10 deg duration and 1mm lift nothing wild.
C30-94 Rotrex supercharger fitted and producing up to 1 bar boost at redline.
This dyno plot was taken on a standard bottom end inlcuding the cast 10.5:1 CR pistons.
I've since fitted 8.9:1 forged pistons for reliability but haven't as yet increased the limiter and hence boost
The plot compares the same engine on the same day but initially mapped NA then mapped with forced induction.
The Rotrex looks a bit peaky in the way power builds but on the road the acceleration is very linear (but not boring!). I could play with inlet
restrictions to limit top end and promote mid-range but to be honest its a nice compromise in a light car with limited traction.
