Hi I am experiencing a hot tunnel on longish trips I assume this is heat radiating back from he engine bay,is there a remedy.I thort of more vents in the bonnet but reluctant to cut until I'm sure cheers Keith

Mine gets nice and warm too, nice in the winter

Dont worry, its just the hot air from the engine bay heating it up. It eventually ends up in the boot area, so I have a heated boot too

can't wait to see what mines like with a 2.5" exhaust running down it

How hot does it get? I have hardboard tunnel cover. I assume it will be ok?

Its only warm to the touch, nothing more.

after about 60 miles it starts 2 feel uncomfortably hot if your leg lies against it but not hot enough to cause hardboard to ignite

If it's that hot make sure you have a cold air feed to your air filter otherwise your power is going to be seriously diminished...

Mine gets warm but it's just hot air from the rad/engine. Is the bottom of the tunnel enclosed?
In winter I can put my left hand down into the handbrake gaiter and use it as a hand warmer. It's a bit tricky with the right hand though!

Could be down to the exhaust manifold ? I've just had a new manifold made to replace the lolocost item which was lagged and have noticed a big difference in the tunnel temperature

If its a problem and it was quite hot on my kit car. Then a couple of large engine bay vents either side will easily sort this. Other advantage is this will very likely lower the pressure behind the rad and promote air flow and increase cooling efficiency.
