quick question...
franky - 30/9/09 at 12:10 PM

would I get away with using 32mm hosing on a 30mm connection if I made sure it was properly secured

wrap the connector in some PTFE tape

and a good tight hose clamp

probably - try it and see

can you get 2 hose clips on it - might help close it up a bit better

As per CBS tip of the month.
Cut apiece of Bicycle innertube and stretch that over the smaller tube, more than on if needed then connect hose & tighten.

Use self-amalgamating tape if possible. You can get some quickly by buying a hose repair kit from halfords. It includes two reels, one is reinforcing tape and the other is self-amalgamating tape. Just make sure to stretch the self-amalg tape as directed otherwise the adhesive is not activated.

Cheers,
Craig.

I had to use a 2mm bigger hose on a smaller connector and just put 2 jubilee clips on.

No probs so far
