fuel pipe - did I make a ****
givemethebighammer - 12/4/04 at 06:23 PM

Just realised I have used 10mm microbore not 8mm microbore as fuel pipe. I have a facet blue top fuel pump capable of delivering about 5-6psi of pressure, however this will be regulated to 3-4psi for my twin webers.

Does it matter that I have used 10mm not 8mm pipe ?

You can get 10-8mm converters in yorkshire fittings to make it even easier

Just use a thirstier engine, no point in wasting the pipe.

phew, just for a moment I though I was going to have to rip it out and replace it. Don't worry about the 10mm to 8mm converters. The rubber fuel pipe I have at each end was a tight fit anyway. Plus I put a single flare on each end of the copper pipe as well to stop the pipe popping off.

Got a feeling my 2.0L zetec with the twin 45's is going to be thirsty anyway (well it will be with my heavy right foot !!!)

thanks people panic over
