Hiya,
Thinking about lifting my RV8 3.5 up onto a engine stand soon. I know some of you clever peeps have done this. Lifting I can manage, bolting it on I
am slightly dubious? Anyone?
Personally I'd take the more obvious route. With the engine down, bring the engine stand mount down to the engine, bolt it up then lift engine & engine stand up in one hit. JD
Do exactly as describer my the green giant!
the top of the engine stand is bolted to the engine first and then the engine is lifted to connect the top of the stand to the rest of the stand.
Make sure you have the correcdt size bolts to do this ( I may still have some that I used )

Its what bolt sizes to use more than anything. Also where to bolt them. Your picture takes care of that thankyou Paul.
Talking of engine stands I have one I bought from Machine mart. Cost £30. Never been used.
Its in my way so a tenner and pick up anyone?
I placed a large washer between the engine and the stand connectors to protec the engine gaerbox face. + the flywheel may get in the way if its still on the engine ????? or it may not???
