I have just been offered a 2.0lt cavalier G reg. I know a lot of people use the 2lt dohc or sohc with red top but can the older version be used would it be woth my while to use the engine from this car? Is it still possible to use the carlton or type 9 gear box?

Does the 2lt 8V produce 130Bhp regardless or is it just the sri engine?
