Best place to source a duratec
cadebytiger - 25/3/10 at 08:21 PM

Just wondering what peoples thoughts are.

I will be looking to get a Duratec soon. I know you can get Zetecs quite cheap brand spanking new. but duratec i expect are much more?

What is the story with the Duratec - I will be leaving it standard so is it best to get a second hand high milage one and run it until it dies? Or invest in a low milage/new one and try not to kill it?

What ya reckon?

Hi

I sourced a new one from Ford power products. At the time it worked out £1300 ish delivered on a pallet. A lot of money but you get what you pay for!!!.

It came less the inlet and exhaust manifold, flywheel etc and water pump pulley. So basically it was a base engine.

There are obviously second hand one out there but the cheap one are few and far between and in my eye are cheap for a reason....

Good luck in finding what you want.
