Finally took out the the oil pressure switch and now my new oil pressure sender doesn't fit (see piccy, new one to the left). The new one is 1/8
NPT, can I get an adaptor to make it fit the Zetec or do I need another one?
Incidentally before anyone asks, the letter from 'Vaseline Dept 827' is nothing to do with me, it's the wife and some sort of miracle

I would laugh, but it aint funny....
I just had exactly the same prob with my Pinto presure switch.
I managed to sorce an adapter at my local gas/plumming center.
10mm to 1/4NPT

What threads the old one ? They went metric on the black tops.
I have an m14 to 1/8npt adapter you can have for what I paid.
No idea what size the old one is, standard blacktop size I assume. Doddy, don't think I've got any chance of fitting a tee piece, think it
would foul the engine mount and the filter housing

Just had a bit of a fiddle and the biggest nut I can find is an M12 and it's bigger than that, so Wasa I think you're right with M14. I'll take you up on your offer of the adaptor, just let me know the price.
I think they are 1/4NPT... but not sure! Most older ford engines are anyway.
mine was the same size as my pinto then i put a 45% angle extension on it to clear the block
Pinto is definately 1/4NPT.
Try ETB instruments gave me a top service when I needed adaptor for my k series engine and postage costs resonable.

ETB even told me what thread I needed.
You may not need a T-piece.
The Zetec silvertop has 2 tapped holes in the block, so on mine I fitted the VDO sender and in the other the standard pressure switch.
The second hole is fitted with a plug.
Looks like you need a 1/4NPT to 1/8NPT adaptor - something like this:

I had the same when fitting my pressure gauge.
