Nearly finished off the carbon airbox tonight should keep cold air being pulled in even when stationary or in traffic.
Ok so its not fancy or particularly pretty, but its light and should do the job
Air box 1
Air box 2
Air box 3
Cold air is drawn in the vents in the side of the bonnet

Thats nice and tidy, is there a minimum size it needs to be? I was worried about my idea not being big enough!
I dont suppose there is as long as it will flow the CFM required easily....
If I get problems I will make some bigger vents
Good old trial and error
Yep, the slots are fairly big anyway - 20mm wide and 100, 75 and 50mm long.
Probably doesn't make a lot of difference, but aren't those slots in a fairly low pressure area? NACA duct might be quite effective?

That's a very good solution for the limited space you have under bonnet.
Would a NACA duct on the top of the bonnet not give you a slight ram air effect which might improve the airflow...
that looks spot on david, should work a treat
very impressive installation

Thanks chaps
I was looking at the Naca Ducts at Stoneleigh, but didnt have enough money to get one at the time.
Maybe an addition for next winter
