Can anyone help me to identify this cam?
fathead - 18/6/10 at 12:12 PM

I have recently bought a 2.0 pinto and the Cam is stamped on the end with "Z10786". My understanding was that if it was a stock cam then it would not have a stamp on the end. I have googled it and one result says its a Kent RC1 and the other says it's stock.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Measure a lobe, highest point, lowest point, and calculate the difference.
If it has a higher opening than stock, then it is atfer market.

From a thread on the turbosports forum you can set the cam by setting No.1 piston to TDC , run a bar across both inlet and exhaust lobes, level both ends ofthebar to the rocker cover face either side.
This will time the cam, do up the vernier then find where the inlet is fully open, you can then find, cam timing, duration and lift .
All the info you need
