GEAR EXTENSION REVERSE???

dO THEM GEAR EXTENSIONS AVAILABLE FROM RALLY DESIGN FOR THE TYPE 9 BOX ALOW THE USE OF REVERSE GEAR? I CARNT SEE HOW IT WALLOWS THE PRESSING DOWN ACTION....

hAS ANYONE MADE AN EXTENSION FOR THE 4SP MK2 ESCORT BOX??

Yes it allows you to select reverse gear just as it would with the gear lever direct on the box i used one for 2 years on my type 9

Yes, I have used a remote extension from a Triumph Herald gearbox. It bolts to the top of the Triumph gearbox normally. I used the back end of it (it has a cast alloy housing that I cat in half) bolted into the transmission tunnel and then the operating shaft that runs forward normally, I fitted to the cut down Ford gearstick. I removed the dovetail wedge shaped insert that is in the Ford gearbox as a reverse detent and relied on the Triumph system which relies on pushing the gearstick down before selecting reverse. I will try and find an old Locost Owners Club magazine where I posted a drawing of it. Done 1,100 miles in the car so far and it works a dream.
