Couldn't resist dropping the heads and manifold on to see how it will look.
Not sure what to put it in yet.
Its a 1964 2.5 Daimler Hemi V8.
Had it bored to take Triumph Bonny +60 thou pistons which makes it about 2.6ltr The cranks been ground heads refaced and all new valves and springs
etc. And lots of other new internals.
Using a Holley carb for now but throttle bodies may come later.
Still lots of cleaning and building to do. Not sure what to put it in yet,not sure its a Seven engine really.
Open to suggestions.
Steve.

Why isnt it a seven type engine? I think itd be awesome, especially with a blower.
8 bike carbs would look nice on that engine
I have always loved them engines
I'd never heard of this small capacity V8.
Is it dimensionally small as well as cubic capacity?
Flat plane or cross plane crankshaft?
Will it make a proper V8 burble?
What sort of power are you expecting?

I remember seeing an article about those engines - one ended up in a UK dragster (brief video)!
Of course, this was probably running nitromethane and would have been rebuilt after just a few runs.
Renowned for being very strong engines, especially at more sensible power outputs, IIRC.
Love those engines, daimler dart or mk2 daimler saloon....i think the 4.5 was in the daimler majestic usually found as hearses....lovely sound
