First one is the tensioner bracket (take no notice of the crap welding)

Second one shows the temp sender hole. It's the one just under the manifold nut in the picture.

is that bracket part of the water pump?

jacko - 2/6/11 at 08:08 PM

You can just see it on my engine

RichardK - 2/6/11 at 08:08 PM

This is my bottom bracket,

Try and find a top one!

Cheers

i have the bottom one i just dont sem to have anywhere to bolt the top one

RichardK - 2/6/11 at 08:12 PM

Its like an L shaped braket

You can just see how the L shaped bit overhangs onthe lower bracket to give it strength.

This is how I did my zetec with a right and left threaded rose joints and a turnbuckle.

Daddylonglegs - 2/6/11 at 08:22 PM

It's the original bracket that I got with the engine, but i had to modify it so I could use the alternator.

It attaches to a lug on the side of the water pump. That's where it was when I picked up the engine.

OK Richard, now I'm more embarassed! That's a real neat solution to my problem, makes my cack welding look even more pointless

RichardK - 2/6/11 at 08:47 PM

HeHe and I was looking at Jacko's thinking wonder why I ddin't do mine like that!!

As long as it does the job, dis good yar!

Cheers

Ok small problem, for me, my water pump doesnt have that lug on it!

RichardK - 4/6/11 at 07:14 AM

That'll be why I didnt do mine like Jacko's then!!

The head on my engine came of a injection engine and has 2 threaded holes to bolt a bracket to it
