Hi all,

What is the best oil to run in a type 9 box? Any better than others? Don't mind spending money id it going to work better

BGH Geartec recommend Comma oil , they know a thing or two about type 9 boxes

MTF94 works very nicely -----just don't use a Hypoid EP (GL5) diff gear oil.

That's what I use - much better than standard oil, IMHO. Easier gear-change, especially when cold.

What spec of comma oil?

cliftyhanger - 20/9/11 at 01:01 PM

sx75/90 GL4 I think.

Nearly...

SX75W-90 GL4

It's odd stuff - a clear liquid, but it smells as much as ordinary gear oil!
