Hi, I'm after a ford type-9 and wanted to know what I should look for in these gearboxes?

I always tried every gear and look inside, gears, oil, main bearing play, what else?

play on the input and end shaft. If it wobbles about it will need work

what sort of power can a type 9 take in standard form?
