limited slip diff
ajw - 11/12/11 at 07:57 PM

Just secured a 3.9 sierra diff, lobro type with viscous limited slip. I have a 4.4 crown wheel and pinion to fit into it. Considering fitting a titan lsd instead of viscous. Going into MK race /hillclimb car (duratec) fitted 3.9 pumped viscous) . Whats involved in the process of pumping up diff to stifffen it, can I do myself ?
Has anyone used Titan diff ?

So That's what you meant in the pub when you said you were thinking of pumping your diff....

What I need is details of the silicone fluid and details for modifing lsd oil pack. Has anyone done this process of pumping diff

Nope, dispute what Rich says, by the time the booze wore off I had lost the urge...

Just found the viscous fluid is Dow Corning 3-9162 viscous fluid , next problem anyone know where I can get it. I understand I replace bung in lsd unit with grease nipple and pump fluid in. Might be easier to throw unit out and replace with plate diff

If you do replace with a plate type i'd be interested in the viscous unit.
