Which exhaust? Zetec Indy

Need to get a complete system for my build. Looking for stainless system and I will need a cat.

I realise the question has been asked before and Ive done a bit of research on what seems to be favorite:

MK: Im a bit reluctant to pass over cash to MK for the complete system after reading so many posts re delivery times, poor quality etc..

Westfield: dont want to spend £800+ and then have to cut the chassis to make it fit.

Fisher sports cars: are they still in business? Web page has disappeared.

Powerspeed: been quoted £1000+ vat

GBS: never have any stock

Tiger sports cars: a few posts saying not worth it, get a custom system?

Problem with getting a custom system is time/cost trailering the car somewhere that will build a custom pipe.

GBS web page always shows 'out of stock', have you ordered recently?

hootsno1 - 14/12/11 at 08:16 PM

GBS make them in house and always have them in stock give them a ring, I find the web site is not always up to date.

OK thanks, will do.

Have you got a picture of the complete system fitted to your car?

I recommend against GBS, i bought one because it was cheap, took a month to get to me and had issues fitting... Wish i had paid out for a custom exhaust from Powerspeed or 907 on here now from the start as its one of the upgrades thats on my list.

I found a local company that gave me lots of bends and a manifold blank. I tack welded the bits together and they made it for me. Worth an enquiry if a local exhaust firm is near to you. Save you lots of cash.

I ordered a gbs one at the start of dec, came in 3days no issues & fits perfect on my Indy

Do you need to cut the chassis to fit a Westy exhaust? I have a Westfield CVH evhaust on my Zetec Indy and it clears the chassis fine.

Got one of Pauls systems on my car that replaced the crap Lolocost (GBS) system that I fitted when I built the car, It fit OK (just) but wasn't fully welded at the flange so it leaked , the flange was distorted by approx 12mm so it didn't seal against the head without a load of work and the stainless steel wasn't good either but it was cheap.
Pauls system is a work of art IMHO.

I'll mention RAW again......

£300 for the manifold, not sure on can/cat prices, i already had one. Its an over the rail style, I can measure it up if thats helpful.
