Fuel lines under cars

Did anybody run their fuel lines under the car? Its was thinking of a braided stainless one to reduce chances of crushing. Advice please

Braided isnt great - you cant see when its damaged, IVA inspector cant see its markings for proof of suitablity.
Why cant you run them through the tunnel?

I have run the current one through the tunnels. But due space being tight around the diff, I am quite worried about the connections there. I have put an extra rubber sleeve on to protect it from vibrations and fatiqueing just not sure it would be enough over an extended period. Also dont like thatthe point of potential failure is near my ass on the seats

Use copper lines to get to the diff then use a small lenth of rubber to dip under the chassis rail or round the diff?

i used marine grade rubber hose betwen the copper pipe on mine, it has the bonus of being fire resistant!
got everything i needed from the local marina for under £15 i think

Fuel lines (rigid or flexy) exposed under a flat bottomed low clearance 7 type car never seems a good idea to me. A well formed Kunifer line through the tunnel and around the diff has to be the preference IMHO.

How you do check them for leaks?
How do you stop them from rubbing on the chassis tubes?
I'm sure there are a few more reasons why you shouldnt do it....

Why cant you run them inside the tunnel at the top? I ran 2 fuel lines a brake line and wiring harness at the top.

As long as they aren't sealed in you'd see evidence of leaks and braided hoses should resist abrasion.

I thougt it a reasonable question as I've seen it done on production cars and bikes.
