I hope you might be able to help with this problem
I have a 2lt pinto in the car as yet not fired up
I have bought bike carbs cbr900 fireblade
I as yet do not have a fuel pump for them as there were none on the bike it was gravity fed
what is the correct fuel pump for this or can i just use the fuel pump that is on the car
any help would be super

If it was a carbed Pinto then it should be okay, if it was injected then you will need to reduce the pressure with a fuel regulator.

Fireblades do have pumps under the tank, you can use any big bike carb pump or a facet low pressure 1 - 4.5psi pump, I ran mine on one of these FACET POSI FLOW FUEL PUMP 1.5 to 4.0 Psi + UNIONS | eBay

A malpasi filter king or just the fuel pressure regulator version will allow you to adjust pressure to suit.
On some carbs especially gravity fed 4.5 psi can be to high.
Electric fuel pump goes near the tank and low, they push and don't like to pull up from the tank, pressure reg goes in engine bay

could you have a look at this and see if this would be ok

the pump off just about any other carb'd bike (of a similar size) should be fine - and they regulate themselves too

the ZX9R ones are quite neat - they come on a little bracket with a fuel filter...

they don't have anything else on the bikes, so you don't need anything else to run the bike carbs on your car

a few folk have had issues with fuel pressures being too high using normal pumps and regulators - but I've not heard of any issues using the bike pumps

(I'm building my own car with a pump from a ZX9R 'C1', my carb's are from later a ZX9R 'E' )

been looking on ebay and the prices have gone up a bit since I got mine
(~£35 - 50 for a s/h external pump - I paid less than £20! )
so it might be worth talking to bike breaker direcly...

got a set for £30 but i just rec the carbs today great but i am no mechanic and looking at the carbs is like looking at the back end of a horse.would any one have a drawing or picture of the setup and if they could explain what i am looking at.

If your able to put big labels on everything you don't know then take a picture of it and the post it here we should be able to point you in the right direction.
