I've been given a quote of £1500 for a Pan European st1000 engine, clocks, loom and ecu.

I'm costing up the build and wondered about peoples opinion on engine/price etc.

Cheers

Mark

Keep looking, you can get an old bike for less than that. Contact Colin Colibriman and see what he has.

Or these have one but I don't know about their reputation

Look in their kit cars bit. There's one for £550.

I think you need to speak to Colibriman

Check his recent postings for some slightly more competitive price for bike engines

Thanks for the replies.

Yes I felt the asking price was a little on the extreme.

Many thanks for the contacts.

A happier man now.

I was out in mine last night, thinking what a good engine it was, and wondered if anyone else was planning one.

Let me know if you want to know anything, and good luck.

Adam.

Thanks Adam

Yes I must admit I saw your website and read about the engine.

I love anything with a Honda engine in it and a V4 quad cam sounds fantastic

I'm at the chassis build stage at the moment (still planning and measuring) and my only concern is the height although you seem to have fitted it in.

Any advice?

Cheers

Mark

PS. Where did you obtain a propshaft?

Cheers again

I didn't build mine. I bought mine from Stuart Taylor, who had built it as their Demo car.

You may be thinking of Ben Bromilow who has a website detailing his build.

I currently have chopped down trumpets which just about fit under the bonnet scoop, and I'll fit some sock filters.

I am also thinking of doing something to make the sump a bit shallower to give a bit more ground clearance (though it's not any lower than the usual blade, zx9, etc).

And you're right - it sounds great!

Adam.

Sorry to mistake you for someone else.
