Just realised the wiring on my new distributor is different to the old one. Cowing from the old one was a lead with a three pin plug on it, the new one has a single wire with a cap on the end like the one that connects to the coil positive and negative.

How do I wire the new one in?

Or can I use the distributor from a 2.0 pinto on my 1.6?

Tried the distributor off the 2.0 and get spark but engine won't start. Starting to have deja vu :-(
