Morning, had a few days off work and managed to get quite a lot done (despite missus nagging about cutting tree down and gardening....did
niether!).
I have run a feed and return for the fuel, and now need to fit a fuel pump before I can finish off the rear end.
Question is what pump to buy?
I have a 2.0 Silvertop + GSXR600 TBs and will run MS2, no plans for big bhp (budget restrictive).
Advice please
I use the bassic universal Bosch Fuel Pump 0580464070 ALFA,FIAT,LANCIA,JAG KIT CAR universal brand new | eBay pumps. They give plenty of fuel on a standard engine. If going for more power I would look for a better quality pump.
Iv got a facet fuel pump available?
think its 3.5-5bar without looking
although having said that, do you need bike pump to go with tb's?

Maccmike, not sure now ! Thought I was ok with car pump and return.
Sure someone on here running same engine /TB set up will give their words of wisdom..........
Folks???

Yep same thing, infact the blue one is the same as mine.
You dont need a bike pump for bike Itb's They use bike pumps for bike carbs as its a cheap way of giving <2psi pressure to the carbs and more
reliable than regulators.
Any high pressure pump will be fine. The regulator controles the pressure at the injector not the pump.
You just need to make sure it has enough flow.
Ive pulled pumps out of a mondeo and submerged them in a tin of petrol for a bench test ...

I am thinking of having a filter between tank and pump, then another in the engine bay before rail.
Is this correct and if so, which type to get?
Ta so far.
Will post some pictures tomorrow...
Yes a good idea to have filters before the pump. There is all sorts of sediment in the fuel.
I just found somthing in halfords or ebay with suitable connections.
Is your tank baffled or sumped ? If not I would think about a swirl pot for fast road and track.
