Ive got a knackered thread on my exhaust stud is it ok to use Heli coils on a cast head?

Well if its not then I am in trouble, two on one side and three on the other of my V6, mind you it has done 10K miles since they were put in, so I think the answer is a definate yes. Cheers Ray
