Hi guys, as you may know i had gearbox trouble. Ive now thought about another problem. The spacer kit between the bell housing and gearbox im using is
from retro ford,

and has no alignment to it. Its just the 4 bolts doing the alignment. Has anyone else used this one and found it ok? i dont want my bearings to fail
too soon.

I have fitted a spacer plate to my car, it had a recess on one side that fits over bearing flange and a raised face on the other end so that they
centralise the bell housing. With out this you are relying only on the bollts. Will try to attach a pic.[

where did you get it from? is it a retro ford one?
I made it out of a billit of ali. I will have a look around i know someone does them.
Caterham do them you will find it under, (Caterham gearbox spacer)
Unfortunately they are a lot thicker than what I currently have so gearbox mounts and gear lever will be different. Is there a way to check alignment?
