If I have it right the the outlet from the nearside of the block goes to the bottom of the rad and the outlet from the head goes to the top of the rad.
GBS do a cheap top water rail and a outlet to replace the thermastat housing.
I have sent them some drawings for the rest of the water system to get them put into production, if you are not running a heater it will only need 3 38mm pipes and 5 silicon hoses and new thermostat housing similar to the Zetec one on there web site.

Do it much chaper by using a 38mm aluminium pipe and two sections of silicon for the top hose. I also used a couple of pipe brackets to secure the aluminium pipe to the top chassis rail

Its actually for my brother but i think i understand the layout. He isnt running a heater at all so the pipe that runs to the heater should now go directly back to the thero housing i guess?

Also the `overflow` tank is the header, am i right?

Overflow is header, just blank off heater connections with a short piece of hose with a bung/bolt in the end.

38mm pipe? I'm sure I've used 32mm ID for the silocone hoses and 32mm OD for the ali pipe!

It's 32mm pipe and hoses you need.
