Hi guys, I'm new to the forum. The throttle cable on my mk indy hayabusa is a bit knackered! As I didn't build the car I am unsure as to what cable is used in this application???

Can anyone suggest a throttle cable to use???

Any help is much appreciated

Ben

Welcome to the forum Ben, alot of people use bike brake cables for throttle cables, but these are not really up to the job and break, you want something like this.

Universal Throttle Cable 53' Long Carbs - Race Kit Car | eBay
Motorsport Tools - Universal Throttle Cable 53' Long Carbs - Race Kit Car

I think they do a couple of lenghts, Just make sure you order one long enough, you can always cut it down if its too long.

No point starting a new thread for the same topic, so here goes:

The direction of pull exerted by the throttle cable on the throttle assembly is almost at right-angles to the desired direction of motion demanded. In other words, it's a cast-iron failure point sometime (soon?)
Has anyone got a stock item solution, or will I have to fabricate something to ensure that the cable pulls in the direction of motion required?
Hope I've made it clear. Anyone with a Busa MK will have encountered the same problem I'm sure.
