They make 'brand new' units and supply to Caterham etc. Always suspected they would be unreasonably expensive or only supply in large
quantities, but seeing one on eBay at £900+ made me wonder. Perhaps an opportunity for a group buy?

Go for freelander, or look for alternatives such as BMW if you want a LSD... those are not locost at all.
It's getting painful, I felt robbed paying £250 notes for my 3.14 a couple of years ago when I paid £100 for a whole 2.8i XR4x4 sierra a year
before.
As Mark says, use something else. Those prices are ridiculous - I got a 2.28 from a 330D for £150 from Germany!
I reckon if someone comes up with a Sierra/BMW hybrid driveshaft, there'll be pennies to be made from conversions to a far better (but slightly
heavier) diff

M3 3.0 LSD is 3.15 ratio, i think the 3.2 evo has a 3.2 ratio.
You can pick these up on ebay for around £200, I was watching one a couple of weeks ago that was a complete rear subframe including shafts, uprights,
LSD and brakes which only went for £275.
Weight penalty is approx 15 kg over Sierra
