Zetec Flywheel re-drilling for Pinto Clutch
Alfa145 - 31/5/12 at 10:43 AM

Does anyone know of a place around the Chesterfield (S40) area that could re-drill a Zetec flywheel to take a pinto clutch and just check its all ballanced?

or does someone already have a 1.8 flywheel re-drilled for a pinto clutch they might want to sell?

Hi, why do you want to drill for a pinto clutch?

I used the zetec pressure plate with the pinto friction plate.
A lot cheaper and hopefully reliable as no balancing required.

I then used the clutch release bearing CT133 that all use with the zetec.
(I do believe that you can use the Pinto release bearing with a spacer from RD)

It all fits (still not running yet) but pedal feels great.

I did have to play with the pedal ratios as I had too much pedal travel and
over stroked the clutch and it would re-engage!
