Can anyone recommend a cheap OBD code reader to suit the Ford Sigma engine ie Sigma SE.

The bay is full of them and I am a bit confused by the choice.

Sorry if I am duplicating your previous thread.

I am right in thinking that your choice only works with that Android app?

I have an iPad so don't use Android does the same exist as an app for iPad?

Fords are notoriously fickle about working with Chinese not quite true clone ELM327 OBD2 dongles, the genuine ELM Chip cost about 20$ so any dongle selling under £25 must be a fake.
More expensive dongles with genuine chips do work on just about any OBD2 car as do cheap hand held scanners
My advice is buy something with the Autel or Crecorder or Memoscan brand names, also you want something that reads live data and freeze frame if you ebay search for AUTEL MS310 or MS509 they are very good choices.
if you want something cheaper the Memoscan U480 is very good kit but won't do live data

iPad won't work with Bluetooth dongles you can get Wifi OBD dongles for the ipad but they cost a fair bit more and still use the iffy Chinese fake Elm chip.
Taking a gamble on a clone chip is OK at the £15 end of the market but at £50+ it is too much of a gamble.

The OBD dongle i linked to worked on my old XP laptop via Bluetooth - not tried the andriod yet. Very pleased with it so far.
