Dot on crank pointing straight up (tdc) marks should line up with a mark on the block

Dot/Pointer on cam straight down, again marks will line up with a mark on the head

Rotor arm on distributor to be pointed to a line marked on the dizzy body

the pinto is as simple as it gets....

Standard cam unleaded about 8 degrees
