Weber 32/36 DGV questions

Hi Guys,

Can anyone using a Weber 32/36 DGV carb tell me what they've done with regard to the manual choke?
Do I need to fit a manual choke control cable or can you get away without it?

Cheers for any info!

Nick

I have no choke parts at all on my DGV , in the warm weather you can get away with by pumping a few times.

But in the colder weather i have to remove the bonnet and choke it by hand for the initial start.

This will also be affected by the idle jet .

Thanks Dave, that's the answer I was hoping for!

Another question now, is it possible to move the fuel inlet from one side to the other as arrowed in the picture? As far as I can see you just need to drill out the opposing inlet, swap the brass insert over and then block off the old inlet. Any potential issues with doing this?

Cheers agian! Rescued attachment carb.JPG

I havent looked today but i think my carb IS threaded on both parts and there is a blanking plug on one so you could switch them around OK.
