Can anyone check (unless any smarties know off hand), how much pedal movement(on the cable side) is needed to give enough range on a type 9?

Hi loggyboy, Trial and error did it for me.

I installed the supplied pedal box for the fury, and the setup for the clucth throw was too much.

I had the rear wheels in the air and the I could access the propshaft through the tunnel so I could turn it by hand.
I selected a gear and tried to turn the propshaft as I pushed the clutch pedal.
The clutch would disengage Ok but if I kept pushing the pedal, the propshaft stopped rotating freely so I assumed that
the release bearing was going too far into the pressure plate and the Release arm was binding on the pressure plate.
The pedal was also quite heavy. I modified the pedal and was prepared to put a pedal stop in place but it was not required. Works just fine now.

Clutch pedal before and after modifications.
New pedal still to be plated and welded (and bolts removed).
The pivot point is the middle hole,
the push point is on the left of the picture and the cable pull is on the right of the picture.
With the rule shown, you can take dimensions if you want.

Thanks len, thats great, looks like about 40-45mm, which isnt far off what mine wouild appear to achieve. On mine the prewelded clutch cable entry seems to align very low, but as you say, it will be down to trial and error!

Also on you other post regarding clutch plates you mention the gearbox/crank spigot bearing, I indeed have one of those in my box of goodies too! Cheers!
