What do you think, What are the chances of it passing the emissions test on the SVA
Slim. I take it you are talking about trying to pass the later cat emission test? I have heard of someone producing a cat to work with carbs but suspect it would not last very long as it would be damaged by the excess fuel. If you really want a later engine fit injection (which I think is easier than carbs!) or go for the earlier engine of which there are loads about and is easier to install and produce the same power.
Doubtless a repeat question but 'ow do I find out how old my Zetec is? Get the engine number and then ring a certain department within Ford or troll down to T.C.Harrisons (local dealers) and ask them?
visit this link it will tell you the year of your engine check out the VIN decoder page at the bottom
