Just bought these for my Blacktop Zetec
http://www.burtonpower.com/arp-con-rod-bolt-set-zetec-e-1-6-1-8-2-0-arpbe05.html
But the thread on them is wrong so they don't fit, the thread on the originals is quite fine but on the ARP bolts its coarse.
They have the Zetec E 1.6 and 151-6003 on the packaging.
Are these the correct ones for a Blacktop?
Are Silvertop and Blacktop ones different?
[Edited on 6/12/12 by Alfa145]
yep silver/black are differant 8mm + 9mm
They are correct for all zetec 1.6/1.8/2.0s EXCEPT the ST170 which required the 9mm versions.
The 8mm versions suit both silver and blacktops.

Cheers for the replies.
I defo havn't ordered the 9mm ST170 version. The ones I have are the correct length but seem to have a coarser thread on them. Have dropped Rally
Design an email to find out whats what.
will be very interested in the answer, as i plan on ordering mine in new year.
Just to follow up on this.
The bolts supplied by Burton were M8x1.5 thread and despite telling them the ARP part no 151-6003 should be M8x1.0 they tried to tell me I needed some
different bolts the ones for a CVH turbo or something and were reluctant to accept ARP had packaged them wrong. They finally offered a refund which I
took.
Ordered the same ARP part no from a guy on Ebay 1pm yesterday and the arrived first thing this morning. Super fast delivery, much quicker than Burtons
were and a bit cheaper. And now fitted.
ARP CON ROD BOLTS FORD ZETEC 2.0 1.8 1.6 8mm THREAD.
So if you're looking to get the ARP bolts from someone that responds quick to questions and posts out fast then go for the eBay ones.
So the 8mm ones do suit the Blacktop...?
Yup. My Blacktop is M8x1.0 thread. ARP Part number required is 151-6003
Silvertop is also M8x1.0 and uses the same ARP part 151-6003 I believe and the ST170 is M9 but as I have neither of these engines I can't
confirm.
