C20xe flywheel /gearbox locator bearing

Hi. I am just in the process of changing my 8v vaux unit to a red top unitunit and have noticed that behind the flywheel on the redtop there is no bearing which i assume would be a locator for the end of the gearbox input shaft. (type 9) This means it was never there when working with the f18 gearbox on the corsa i got it from. Is this normal, or am i missing something? The old 8v unit has that bearing which i suppose i could transplant accross, but the engine is already in the car so i only want to do it if necesary.

Anyone have the same experience? What should I do? Thanks in advance.

Matt

You will need to put one in unfortunatly otherwise the drive shaft will float inside the clutch plate and make a mess.
