Hi All,
Have had the 7 that my old man and I built on the road since this summer, and we're converting the X-Flow from a twin choke weber to bike carbs
over the winter. We rebuilt the bottom end before putting it in, but we've not touched the head. We've got a BCF2 cam in it. In terms of the
head, a bit of research suggests larger exhaust valves and general work to improve the flow, and we'll also get it converted to run unleaded. Any
further recommendations?
Thanks in advance,
Matt
Simple recipe for good power is the biggest valves you can get (1 5/8 inlet / 1 3/8 exhausts) , then double valve springs and steel rocker posts for reliability .
Take a look at this link for details of my 1.3 xflow running bike carbs

Depending upon how much lift your cam gives you, you may need to pocket the pistons for clearance.
